Luciani Cadillac: GM's Grand Foray into Quebec

GM Canada's team kicks off 2023 with enthusiasm, thanks to the inauguration of Luciani Cadillac. This marks the fourth Cadillac dealership opened in Quebec in less than two years. Yet, what's more striking is the switch of Luciani Automobiles — loyal to the Infiniti brand for decades — to GM's flag.

Philippe-André Bisson, Director of Communications for GM Canada, remarks, “The arrival of Luciani Cadillac is a victory for the GM family.”

For the past three years, GM Canada has been banking on a distinct strategy: dealerships dedicated solely to its luxury range, Cadillac. Following the initial success of Cadillac Ile-Perrot, other dealerships like Cadillac Brossard and Cadillac de Laval emerged.

The numbers speak for themselves. In 2022, Cadillac vehicle sales saw a 15% surge, with over 14,530 units sold in Canada, 2,530 of which in Quebec. A record for the third consecutive year, as noted by GM Canada's spokesperson.

But what's the key to this success? For Philippe-André Bisson, the answer is clear: the promise of electrification. "By 2030, 100% of Cadillac vehicles will be electric," he reveals, emphasizing that this vision played a pivotal role in the discussions with the Luciani family.

However, the amount invested by Luciani Cadillac in this transition remains a closely guarded secret.
