Cadillac Escalade IQ: Super Cruise and Night Vision by Trim Level

If you're evaluating which trim delivers the safety and tech features that matter most, this guide breaks down what's standard and what's available across the Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport trims. All four trims share the same dual-motor electric AWD powertrain, but the safety and technology equipment varies significantly.

The Escalade IQ is built for families who want three-row space, towing capability (8,000 lb / 3,629 kg), and the confidence of hands-free highway driving. Here's how the trims stack up.

Super Cruise: Hands-Free Highway Driving

Super Cruise is standard across all four trims. This is Cadillac's hands-free driver-assist system for compatible highways - you can take your hands off the wheel while the system handles steering, braking, and acceleration. The system uses a driver attention camera to ensure you're watching the road, and it works on over 640,000 kilometres of mapped highways across Canada and the U.S.

If you tow regularly, the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims add Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailering - this system monitors your blind spots and can gently steer you back into your lane if it detects a vehicle or trailer in your path. The base Luxury and Sport trims include standard Blind Zone Steering Assist (without the trailering enhancement).

Night Vision: Premium Trims Only

Night Vision is standard on the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims. This system uses an infrared camera to detect pedestrians, animals, and objects beyond your headlight range and displays them on the instrument cluster. If you drive rural highways or unlit roads at night, this feature provides an extra layer of awareness. The Luxury and Sport trims do not offer Night Vision.

Trailering Technology: Premium Trims Only

If you tow a boat, camper, or work trailer, the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims include the In-Vehicle Trailering App and Smart Trailer Integration Indicator. The app walks you through hitch alignment, trailer brake setup, and tire pressure monitoring for your trailer. The Smart Trailer Integration Indicator confirms your trailer's electrical connection and alerts you to any wiring issues before you hit the road.

Both Premium trims also include a Wired Trailer View Camera - this gives you a rear-facing view of your trailer and the road behind it, which is especially useful for lane changes and backing up. The Luxury and Sport trims do not offer these trailering features.

Infotainment and Connectivity

All four trims feature a 55-inch curved LED display that spans the dashboard - this combines the driver's instrument cluster, the centre infotainment screen, and the front passenger display into one smooth interface. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it includes built-in navigation with real-time traffic updates.

The Luxury and Sport trims include a standard AKG 21-speaker audio system - this delivers clear, balanced sound for everyday listening. If you want a more immersive audio experience, the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims include a standard AKG 38-speaker system with enhanced bass response and spatial audio tuning.

Vehicle-to-Home Bidirectional Charging

All four trims support Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) bidirectional charging. This feature allows the Escalade IQ to supply power to your home during an outage or peak electricity hours - you'll need a compatible home energy system to use this feature, but the vehicle's onboard capability is standard. The Luxury and Sport trims include a standard 11.5 kW onboard charger, while the Premium Luxury and Premium Sport trims include a standard 19.2 kW onboard charger for faster home charging speeds.

FLO App Integration

All trims include FLO app integration, which helps you locate public charging stations across Canada and the U.S., monitor charging sessions, and pay for charging directly through the app. The app also provides real-time station availability and pricing, so you can plan your route with confidence.

eTrunk: Extra Cargo Space Up Front

The Escalade IQ includes an eTrunk - a front cargo compartment with 345.5 litres of storage space. This is standard across all trims and provides a secure, weatherproof area for groceries, luggage, or charging cables. The eTrunk is lockable and includes a drain plug for easy cleaning if you're hauling wet or dirty items.

Key Dimensions and Seating

The Escalade IQ seats seven passengers across three rows. First-row leg room measures 1,148 mm, second-row leg room measures 1,049 mm, and third-row leg room measures 820 mm. Cargo volume behind the third row is 668 litres, behind the second row is 1,957 litres, and behind the first row is available at 3,374 litres. The vehicle's 136-inch wheelbase and 175 mm of ground clearance provide a smooth ride and confident off-pavement capability.
